Interests

    Ever feel like you could create something? Or do something special? How about the impossible? I have tried all of those and I have succeeded most of the time, but I admit I have laid a few eggs in my three and a half score.

All of this stuff is old. I haven't written in this section for two years. We have been in our new home for a year and it is truly great; beautiful, comfortable, and just like I drew. A place to live out our years. The basement is not finished but I have been working on it as I get time. I still have a lot of Optimist work to do. This year I am Lt. Gov., still Jr. Golf Chair for the West MO District, still work a bit in construction and when time permits, try to make some lunch money in two golf leagues. Catherine is completing her book of family history, plays the organ at church with the choir and other times also. She does meals on wheels and when she has time sits around admiring the house and reading. 

When I feel like it I will write more.

Well we got what we were hoping for, we are now homeless. We sold the house we have lived in for forty years and the one we are building cannot be finished until August at the earliest. Any suggestions? Yeah, I know at our age we should just sit and enjoy our surroundings. Well, that isn't going to happen.

We moved into this house on my birthday in 1966 and now we will be moving out on John Jr's birthday (May 20) 2006. Is that ironic or probably just weird. 

The footings are in and the basement walls will be poured tomorrow (March 30, my mother's birthday). Boom's Birthday is Saturday I purchased the house we just sold on her birthday, April 1, 1966.  That's more than you want to know isn't it.
